Hi, I’m Lynnea Hamatake, the artist behind Lilac Heather. I’m a watercolor artist and surface pattern designer based in Utah, where the rhythm of four distinct seasons quietly shapes my work.
I’ve always been a creator—painting has been my happy place for as long as I can remember.
Inspired by women who bravely follow their dreams, I began working with watercolor in 2011, drawn to its softness and movement, and later brought my hand-painted art into Adobe Illustrator to transform it into flowing, nature-inspired patterns.
My style is loose and expressive rather than realistic, often featuring florals, leaves, and gentle touches of the natural world.
Every piece begins by hand and is created with care, curiosity, and heart.
I hope my work brings a sense of warmth, calm, and quiet joy wherever it lands.
I love partnering with brands and art directors through licensing, commissions, and collaborations, and creating art that feels meaningful, timeless, and made to be lived with.
